IMAGING CENTER OF STATEN ISLAND

The Imaging Center of Staten Island provides magnetic resonance imaging services to all of Staten Island, portions of Brooklyn and northern New Jersey. The majority of referrals for MRI services come from practitioners on Staten Island.

The Imaging Center of Staten Island was established in 1986 as a freestanding organization owned by multiple physicians. In 1992, Neuroscience Associates of New York acquired the Center. When Neuroscience Associates merged with several local orthopaedic groups in the mid 1990’s, the Imaging Center became part of the new organization, Healthcare Associates in Medicine, PC.

From its inception, the Imaging Center was created to provide high quality service under direct supervision by professors of radiology at some of the major New York City medical centers. Our radiologists are all pre-eminent scholars and authors accountable to an active board of directors that reviews and analyzes all professional activities. The Imaging Center’s mission is to provide superior diagnostic quality as well as old-fashioned hospitality and sensitivity to our patients’ needs, while meeting the referring physicians’ demands for efficiency, speed and quality.

• Diagnostic Radiology and MRI
  Our facility offers a state-of-the-art open MRI, and are available to other physicians and authorized licensed professionals. As the first MRI facility on Staten Island, we set a standard of care that was unparalleled to any other center and we continue that standard with Board Certified radiologists. MRI Certified radiological technologists produce each study. We accept referrals from other physicians and authorized licensed professionals.
