Dr. John Shiau is a board certified Neurosurgeon, well recognized and respected nationally for his participation and contributions towards the advancement of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.  With over twenty years of Neurosurgical practice within the New York tri-state region and lecturing and teaching minimally invasive techniques across the country and overseas, his ever growing reputation and expertise in the field of minimally invasive neurosurgery have earned him consideration as one of New York’s leaders in the field. As a leader in the field, he established the Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Institute (MISSI) dedicated to this new surgical approach. Dr. Shiau prides himself in his accomplishments as such, and is passionate in providing his patients with the best and least invasive neurosurgical care possible.
